The second session of the 6th Hainan Provincial People's Congress commenced, Governor Shen delivered the Government Work Report

On January 27, the second session of the 6th Hainan Provincial People's Congress commenced at the Hainan Provincial Great Hall of the People. Mr. Liu Cigui, Secretary of the CPC Hainan Provincial Committee, Chairman of the Standing Committee of the Hainan Provincial People's Congress, chaired the session, Governor Shen Xiaoming of Hainan Province delivered the Government Work Report.  375 Hainan deputies from 19 cities and counties attended the session.

There would be three agenda: hearing the Government Work Report, reviewing the Plan Report, reviewing the Pre-budget Report.

Targets for Hainan’s development in 2019：the GDP should grow by about 7% to 7.5% 

海南2019年发展预期目标：GDP增长7%-7.5%

Targets for Hainan’s economic and social development in 2019: the GDP should grow by about 7% to 7.5%, Per capita disposable income (PCDI) of urban and rural residents should grow by about 8.2% and 8.5%, the rise in the CPI should be held around 3.5%.
