The Haikou Municipal People's Government and the EU-China One Belt One Road Culture & Tourism Development Committee reached a strategic cooperation agreement recently, the committee will set up its regional headquarters in Haikou, the capital city of Hainan Province.

This move aims to help expand the regional economic development of Hainan Province and push forward the establishment of Hainan's normal mechanism for investment promotion in Europe.

According to the agreement, the two sides will cooperate in the business investment promotion policy, joint efforts to hold domestic and overseas investment activities, and provide professional consultation on investment promotion.

The EU-China One Belt One Road Cultural and Tourism Development Committee will promote the integration of market, capital and human resources to build an international resource connecting platform, and introduce strategic investors to a greater extent to help the government to connect with high-quality EU investment projects and enterprises.

The committee will help carry out and organize various activities, actively introduce advanced sports, education, culture and tourism industry brands and management from the EU, attract more outstanding talents and innovative enterprises to settle down and further enhance Haikou's regional value and urban competitiveness.

The Europe China One Belt One Road Culture & Tourism Development Committee was established in Europe on April 27, 2016. It aims to promote exchanges in cultural and tourism sectors between China and Europe.
