On July 2, a JC international airliner coming from Cambodia's Sihanoukville landed smoothly at Sanya Phoenix International Airport, marking the official opening of Sanya-Sihanoukville route. This air route became the second Cambodian route opened by Sanya Airport after Phnom Penh. Up to now, the Southeast Asia air route of Sanya Airport network has covered five cities: Singapore, Phnom Penh, Bangkok, Chiang Mai and Sihanoukville.

It is reported that Sanya-Sihanoukville air route is operated by A320 passenger aircraft and three flights are available for a week. The flight number is QD336/7. It takes off from Sihanoukville at 11:50 pm local time in Cambodia on Monday, arriving at Sanya at 2:50 am Beijing time the next day. It takes off from Sanya at 5:45 am Beijing time and arriving at Sihanoukville at 7 am local time in Cambodia.

In recent years, Sanya has actively deployed the international airline network to promote the development of inbound and outbound tourism markets. Up to now, Sanya has operated more than 40 international or regional air routes.
