On July 11, at the Haikou Wuyuan River National Wetland Park, flocks of white-fronted terns perched on the beach for food, and the flying dance of the bird flocks presents a spectacular scene.
It is known that white-fronted tern is a bird of the Laridae family of charadriiformes. They live in grasses, reeds and shrubs near inland waters, such as beaches, lakes, rivers and marshes, and they often engage in group activities. It is a common summer breeding bird in China. The bird breeds in Hainan and most of the inland coastal areas.
With the advancement of protection and restoration work of Haikou Wuyuan River National Wetland Park, birds such as greater coucals, the "most beautiful bird" blue-throated bee-eaters and white-fronted terns were attracted to live and settle down, which has become a new ecological view of Haikou, the "International Wetland City".
