Hainan stages grand chorus to celebrate PRC's 70th founding anniversary

海南举办大型合唱活动庆祝中华人民共和国成立70周年

Hainan staged a grand chorus on Sept 22 in Haikou to mark the 70th anniversary of the founding of the People's Republic of China, displaying the island province's new look during the construction of the Hainan Pilot Free Trade Zone and Hainan Free Trade Port.

Held at Haikou City Stadium, the event consisted of three main parts performed by 13 groups from universities, government institutions, and social organizations.

Singers pay tribute to their home country, as well as Hainan, through the chorus staged on Sept 22 at Haikou City Stadium. [Photo/Hainan Daily]
